Dział Współpracy Międzynarodowej KSSiP zaprasza sędziów, prokuratorów, asesorów, asystentów, referendarzy do udziału w międzynarodowym webinarium nt. „Legal English in teh European Union after Brexit”.

Szkolenie organizowane jest z inicjatywy Europejskiej Sieci Szkolenia Kadr Sprawiedliwości (EJTN) i odbędzie się w dniu 16 grudnia 2021 r., godz. 13.00-14.00.

Udział w szkoleniu nie wymaga wcześniejszej rejestracji, ani formalnego zakwalifikowania. "Lunchtime webinar" będzie prowadzony w języku angielskim na platformie MS Teams - link poniżej.

Content outline: The webinar shall include the current position of English in the European Union, the sources of legal vocabulary in the European Union, ‘correct’ vs. ‘comprehensible’ legal English and current and future changes in EU legal English after Brexit

Target group: Linguists, judges, prosecutors and anyone interested

Learning objectives : Upon the successful completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Identify the role and position of English as a lingua franca in the EU;
• Recognise the different sources of legal vocabulary in English in the EU;
• Distinguish between ‘correct’ and ‘comprehensible’/‘acceptable’ legal English;
• Appraise the changes that are already taking place with legal English in the European Union after Brexit.
