In the context of the J-CAP Next Project, IPS_Innovative Prison Systems, on behalf of the project Consortium, graciously invites to J-CAP Next's Mid-term state-of-play Conference.

J-CAP Next is a project co-funded by the European Union (JUST-2024-JCOO), which aims to develop a professional-tested and oriented European Probation Software (EPS). The project builds on a software first developed in 2011, by the Belgian Ministry of Justice. The EPS aims to support justice professionals by facilitating access to structured information on Member States’ probation measures and alternative sanctions, with a view for enabling quick comparison between countries, for the purposes of supporting the implementation of Framework Decision 2008/947. To know more about this project you can go to https://www.jcap-probation.eu/jcapnext.html

This online event will take stock of the implementation of the J-CAP Next Project. In addition, this event will feature key-note presentations from European experts on the topics of the use of Framework Decision 2008/947 (on the application of the principle of mutual recognition to judgments and probation decisions with a view to the supervision of probation measures and alternative sanctions), as well as on the most pressing challenges on the digitalisation of justice in the European Union.

The Mid-term Conference will take place on the 10th of December 2025, between 09:30 and 13:00 CET, via Microsoft Teams.
